Canto al Sole

The apartment, situated in the lower part of the hamlet, takes its name from the sun that shines on it constantly, notably in the summer, and yet it remains cool inside. It’s reached following the old stone lane through Penna Alta, just past the portal where a garden with a fig tree marks the locale. The interior, furnished in a local artisan style, includes a kitchen and sitting room and a small hallway leading to the bedroom area where a bath with a shower decorated with majolica tiles from Faenza has a window opening onto the courtyard. The double bedroom, with a wrought-iron bed, is adorned with a cozy corner fireplace built from river stones and bricks from an old wood oven. BOOK
