My parents first opened the Osteria in the summer of 1991 after deciding to take a gamble on their life-long passion for food and hospitality, bidding goodbye to their steady jobs to invest in this exciting new adventure. I’ve been at their sides ever since, whether working with them meant simply waiting on tables as a teen, or rolling up my sleeves in the kitchen to whip up some delectable desserts, which has always been one of my favourite things. In recent years we’ve handed over the day-to-day running of the kitchen to Andrea Barbagli, a talented young chef who once graced our tables as one of our hungriest, and naturally most discerning, young guests!

Il Canto del Maggio
A sincere cuisine, made with what nature gives us

A MENU FOR EVERYONE
As Sara welcomes you into our cosy restaurant setting, Andrea will wow you with traditional Tuscan fare bringing a creative twist to each dish with a fresh contemporary feel. Over the winter months food is served inside one of the Borgo’s traditionally furnished Tuscan houses, complete with a roaring fire. In summer months we transfer to a shady nook in an enchanted garden, surrounded by fragrant flowers and herbs for memorable meals in the most romantic of natural settings.
